How to include Momentum Mental Health in your Will.

It is a common misconception that you must be wealthy to leave a gift in your will. Nothing could be further from the truth. A gift of just 1% will help us change lives. It’s never too early to start thinking about a charitable gift in your will – now could be the perfect time to create your legacy.

Firstly, please consider how you want to take care of your family and friends. Then, you may like to consider leaving a gift to Momentum. Next, it is advisable to visit a solicitor to have your Will professionally written, or you can use the free Public Trustee service if you prefer.

Types of bequests:

1. Leaving a percentage of your estate allows you to decide what proportion of your total estate you would like to give. A percentage gift will also keep up with inflation. It will mean your bequest will have as much impact in the future as it would today.

2. A residuary bequest is an effective way to leave a bequest to Momentum. It is a gift of what remains after you have made provisions for your loved ones and taxes and debts are paid. A residuary gift also keeps up with inflation.

3. A pecuniary gift is a specific dollar amount.

4. Anything of value, such as property, shares, jewellery or works of art, may be specifically named in your Will and given directly to Momentum.
