Supporting the Next Generation

At Momentum Mental Health, we love welcoming students and emerging professionals into our organisation and giving them the opportunity to learn in a real-world, community mental health environment.

During 2025/26, Momentum supported 62 students and emerging professionals through placements, work experience and industry projects. Students came from a diverse range of disciplines including psychology, medicine, human services, occupational therapy, community services and other areas of study.

Our partnerships with universities, training organisations and schools allow students to gain practical experience while bringing fresh ideas, enthusiasm and new perspectives to Momentum. Many become actively involved in our programs, work alongside our team and clients, and contribute to projects that have a genuine impact on our organisation and community.

We are incredibly proud to play a part in developing the next generation of health, mental health and community services professionals, particularly by providing opportunities to experience the value of community-based and regional mental health services.
