Queensland Community Impact Awards 2025

On 25 November 2024, Momentum Mental Health was proud to attend the QCOSS Community Impact Awards at the stunning Brisbane Town Hall as a finalist in the Prevention Excellence category. While Momentum didn’t take home the top prize, the event was an incredible experience that celebrated the inspiring work of organisations making a difference in Queensland communities.
With over 300 attendees, the evening offered an exceptional networking opportunity, helping us connect with like-minded professionals and advocates in the social services sector.
The evening was hosted by acclaimed author Trent Dalton, with awards presented by the Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency Dr. Jeannette Young. Each award category was highlighted with a visual presentation of the finalists, accompanied by a brief description of their achievements, giving Momentum valuable exposure and recognition for our work in mental health and wellbeing. Sharing a table with members of the Queensland Alliance for Mental Health (QAMH)added to the evening’s excitement, as they cheered us on enthusiastically. Overall, the trip to Brisbane was well worth it, showcasing Momentum’s impact and furthering our mission to support mental health and wellbeing across the Darling Downs and beyond.
