Tai Chi and Meditation
The Gentle Power of Tai Chi: Movement for Mind and Body
Tai Chi is a graceful, low-impact form of exercise that combines slow, flowing movements with deep breathing and focused intention. Often described as “meditation in motion,” Tai Chi helps balance the body and calm the mind — making it an ideal practice for people of all ages and fitness levels.
At Momentum Mental Health, we offer Tai Chi as part of our wellbeing programs because of its many proven benefits, including:
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Improved balance, flexibility, and coordination
- Increased strength and energy
- Better sleep quality
- Enhanced mental clarity and focus
- Support for emotional regulation and overall wellbeing
Tai Chi is gentle, inclusive, and easy to learn. Whether you’re looking to manage stress, improve physical health, or simply enjoy a moment of mindfulness, Tai Chi offers a holistic pathway to feeling more grounded and connected — both within yourself and the world around you.
Come try a session and experience the benefits for yourself.
Every Friday at 1pm – 1:45pm at 112 Russell Street, Toowoomba.
If you have a work group or group of friends, Momentum can also provide sessions at a time that suits you. Just contact us: admin@momentummentalhealth.com.au

Meditation
Wikipedia defines meditation as is a practice in which an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state
Meditation can benefit us physically, by decreasing blood pressure and increasing our immune system and energy levels

We are grateful to our friends at Heartfulness for volunteering their time to take our meditation sessions.
