The Healing Power of Sound: Why Try Sound Bathing?

Sound bathing is a deeply relaxing practice that uses soothing sound frequencies to calm the mind and body. Participants are “bathed” in layers of harmonious tones created by instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes, and gongs. This immersive experience promotes a state of deep rest, helping to release stress, reduce anxiety, and restore emotional balance.

At Momentum Mental Health, we incorporate sound bathing into our wellbeing offerings because of its proven ability to:

  • Lower heart rate and blood pressure
  • Calm the nervous system
  • Support better sleep
  • Enhance clarity and focus
  • Promote emotional regulation
  • Increase feelings of peace and connection

Whether you’re new to mindfulness or looking to deepen your self-care routine, sound bathing is a gentle, accessible way to reconnect with your inner calm — no experience required.

Join us for a session and discover how sound can support your mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing.

Momentum’s Sound Bathing sessions are held at the Toowoomba Library.

Sound Bathing allows you to access a space of deep rest and even deep relaxation. It decreases tension, anxiety, and negative moods.

Every second Monday 1pm-2pm at the Toowoomba Library
